Wow...this is an awesome piece. Legit.
‘The Last Fiesta’ is my 12-skateboard deck shout-out to Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’ with Jesus Christos and his 12 Luchador apostles getting down one last time.

Defining what is now the new southern California mainstream...
Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Mister Cartoon (born Mark Machado) has become famous over the years for his many designs that range from sign painting and graffiti, to automobile murals and magazine illustrations. A master of the ink and needle, his client list includes a wide variety of celebrities like Dr. Dre, Travis Barker, 50 Cent, Eminem, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce. For its “Art in the Streets” exhibition, the MOCA has chosen to display several pieces that are comprehensive of his work like a tagged hood and an airbrushed ice cream truck.
Artist, WK, creates a large-scale mural in Mexico City, representing 100 years of revolution.
As Patrick Martinez prepares for his solo show at Known Gallery later this month, Juxtapoz' contributing photo editor, Estevan Oriol, took a trip to Patrick's studio for us and shot a video profile of the Los Angeles' artist. In the short piece, Patrick talks about his daily motivations and inspirations to make art.

I came across Alexander Orion's work awhile ago...cool to finally see how he makes his "pollugraphies". Another fantastic example of making something out of what you have available, in this case pollution. Classic Latin American trait...
The video above explains a method of creating art developed by the Sao Paulo based artist Alexandre Orion. He calls them "Pollugraphies". The technique captures the soot directly from car exhaust pipes to produce images on canvas. Each piece is exposed to the pollution for a week. If the truck shakes hard, the piece gets damaged. If it rains, the piece is gone. Orion produces an average of 4 pieces to save only one. -- Via Wooster Collective

Escif recently opened his first solo show at the Montana Gallery in Barcelona, Spain. I'm really digging its theme -- Contra la Pared/Against the Wall.
"Against the Wall highlights the need to open doors, imagine ways, open spaces with free accessibility, invent bridges and relationships, in a formal and conceptual way. Tear down walls of the cities, but especially those that limite our heads, our dreams, our wishes. Let it go by intuition and improvisation. Escape the logic and linear reasoning. Scramble to find to set new orders. Questioning the absolute and let be surprised by the magic of the error. Addressing contradictions as transit areas; validate the process as a result and banish arrogance of findings and coordinates."
